INCENTIVES ARE CUMULATIVE: DONORS RECEIVE
THE HIGHEST LEVEL INCENTIVE THEIR PLEDGE EARNS AND ALL INCENTIVES
FOR LOWER LEVELS!
“Fair Share” is a concept developed
in response to people asking “How much should I give?” It
is one way to put donors in different earning categories on a similar
basis.
Fair Share is equal to one hour’s pay per month for one
year. For example, a person who makes $20,000 per year would have
a fair share of $115.38 per year. If that person is paid bi-weekly,
or 26 times per year, the Fair Share donation from each pay check
would be $4.44.
If you round off for your own convenience and the convenience
of the people who process your donation, the numbers in the above
example become $ 4.00 per pay period and $104.00 per year.
Your LFCC provides a Suggested Giving Guide*.
Or, you can calculate Fair Share using the following formula.

* The Guide is not intended to be a personal
dollar goal or quota. The decision to give, and the amount to
be given, is up to each individual.
The amount is based on one hour's average pay per month.
An annual amount by grade is provided. For those choosing payroll
deduction as the method of giving, the amount per pay period
is also provided. The amounts have been rounded to the nearest
dollar to assist all who handle the Pledge Cards and reports,
including your organizational monitors/keyworkers, the PCFO staff,
and federal payroll offices.
